Robbie was appointed Chief Medical Officer at BCHC in December 2023. He brings extensive experience in a range of senior NHS roles across community, acute and mental health services.
In his previous role as Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Wye Valley NHS Trust, Robbie was responsible for community and acute services with a portfolio covering patient safety, clinical job planning, clinical leadership and partnership building across integrated health systems – all with the needs of the patient at the core. His clinical background is as an acute physician and nephrologist.
Robbie has also gained considerable experience through senior clinical leadership positions in a number of other NHS Trusts, where he had success in developing a virtual ward model and strengthening clinical governance across community hospitals
