Lorraine Harper is Professor of Nephrology at the University of Birmingham and Director of the Birmingham NIHR Clinical Research Facility. She is recognised as a key international opinion leader in the management of ANCA associate vasculitis. She has published over 150 research papers in scientific journals as well as reviews and book chapters in the fields of inflammation and nephrology, and has received major grants from Kidney Research UK, Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council.
Lorraine is a strong supporter of academic training supporting the development of the integrated academic training pathway for junior clinical researchers in Birmingham and is the NIHR Academy Associate Dean responsible for training pathways.
