  • Healthcare Technologies Institute

    The Healthcare Technologies Institute brings together leading experts from a variety of disciplines, working collaboratively to speed up the translation of new discoveries – including technologies and treatments that encourage better tissue healing and rehabilitation tools. Learn more about the HTI.

  • NIHR Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre

    The Birmingham BRC is one of 20 NHS and University partnerships funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) from December 2022 to November 2027. Its research programme focuses on inflammation and the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of its associated long-term illnesses. Visit the BRC site.

  • Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU)

    Established for over thirty years, our CRCTU translates cutting edge science and research into improved patient care, from small data-intensive Phase I trials of novel therapies through to large multi-centred international randomised trials.   • Institute for Mental Health

    The Institute for Mental Health works to improve outcomes and care for young people with mental health problems. Through interdisciplinary research, it aims to understand the causes of poor mental health, prevent mental health problems from developing, and respond to established illness by developing new treatments and services. Visit the IMH site.
